About Our Team

Amber Hite

Amber D. Hite started Hite CPA PLLC after working with some talented CPAs in public accounting and industry for over 26 years.  Amber grew up in Kingfisher, Oklahoma and landed in Piedmont, Oklahoma – only 25 miles away.  In between, she attended William Jewell College in Liberty, MO, graduated with an Accounting Degree, and obtained her CPA designation in 1996 while working for a Big 6 accounting firm.  Amber credits her high school Accounting teacher and her college Accounting professors for a successful entry into accounting as a profession.

Working at KPMG Peat Marwick in Kansas City and Oklahoma City for clients such as Devon Energy, Associated Wholesale Grocers, DeBruce Grain (now Gavilon LLC), The Rival Company and many more provided the best training ground for financial statement understanding, client service, and work ethic.  Amber left public accounting to be the Treasury Supervisor of Louis Dreyfus Natural Gas where she learned the joy of teamwork and experienced the security that solid leadership brings.  From there, she worked in the family business, Bermuda King LLC, where she gained a true understanding of running a small business – from designing processes, to managing inventory, to vetting customers, to monitoring cash flow to ultimately assisting in the sale of the business for her Father’s retirement.  For the next 12 years, Amber served as Controller for many small businesses in a wide range of industries.  Subsequent her Controller position, Amber returned to public accounting and has had the privilege of working with many courageous small business owners – sharing her experience and knowledge to bring organization and clarity to a piece of their business that is overwhelming when their talents lie elsewhere.  She considers it a gift to be able to do what one loves and to get paid for it.

Amber is a member of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont where she sings in the choir and serves on the Finance Committee. She currently serves as the Treasurer of the Piedmont Public Schools Education Foundation. She served the Piedmont Chamber of Commerce from 2011 through 2020 in a finance, accounting, budgeting, and planning capacity and has served on various not for profits throughout her tenure in Piedmont.  Amber is married to Ray Hite who owns his own small business, Hite Plastics, Inc. They have two boys in Piedmont Schools and three labs and a cat at home. When they aren’t attending basketball events, they enjoy the lake and neighbors at Northwood Lake Estates.
